Lorraine,
Thank you! The Teddy 25 years show celebrates, “one life ended and another one began,” for Teddy. The accident that paralyzed Teddy 25 years ago, didn’t stop his life. Today, Teddy wants to help others with spinal cord injuries live the life they choose.

I will never forget driving from Boston to Annapolis and listening to Wake Up Everybody for a solid 8 hours! Unfortunately my eighttrack WARPED from the heat.(I’m Showing my age)
Also, I went to the OMNI in Atlanta to see Teddy. Along with him was Patti Labelle, Dick Gregory and Heat Wave. I think that I was the only white girl in the place but I had to see and hear Teddy in person. I even got right up to the stage to take pictures which came out great!!
So many of you songs have graet memories to go along with each.
Thanks for the memories!

Hello,
I hope this note finds you well in mind, body and spirit.I heard one of your songs today on the radio. Listening to it brought back wonderful childhood memories of my parents, especially my father. My father is also paralized, he is a quad. He was shot when I was 7 years old, I am now 35. He is truly amazing, such as yourself. He was told he would not be here on earth very long… but I know God has the finial say. I am sure many doctors that ruled him out, (not to live longer than 3 years) would be amazed to see him today.
I am aware what a spinal cord injury can do to ones ability to have strong use of the diaphram a major part of breathing in singing, after your injury your voice was still so wonderful!
I am also aware of the will power it takes to have a limitation ( from waching may dad).
Please continue to use your talents.
It would be amazing to one day have your and my father meet. I know he continues to be a great fan of yours.
I think you would both be an inspiration to one another as you both have been to me.
If you could email him that would be great. His birthday is coming September 9th. I don’t have his email with me, but maybe I could write again later.
So much more I would like to say, but I know you have other fans to tend to.
Continue to strive and inspire.
YOU ARE AWESOME!!
God Bless

Hello Teddy,
You will always be my favorite singer. My wife always teases me
saying I never get tired of hearing Teddy songs! I was in high-school when you went solo and could not wait for your first album.
My favorite Teddy song will always be “Love TKO”! If it is possible could you tell me where I might obtain video footage of one of your “Ladies only Concerts! I have your live in London and Valentine Day concert but would really love to see footage of one of your “Ladies only concerts’. Take Care, I don’t believe there will ever be another singer like you!

I purchased your cd several months ago and enjoy all the songs, especially “You are my latest and greatest inspiration”.
I didn’t know anything about your personal life, until I heard your interview, on the radio, telling about 25 years since your accident. Your interview was so up beat, and I’m sure an inspiration to all who heard it. You are my favorite song artist and I am a new fan of yours. You put your body and soul into every song you sing. You are an amazing person and have brought joy to many, many people. I wish you the very best!

Mr. Pendergrass.
Thanks for everything. Your vocals were the ticket. I replay my vinyls, now, and get a better buzz than I did 30 yrs. ago. IF you tour to the West Coast, again, I’ll be waiting.

Let me started by saying I hope this message finds you doing well and as always blessed. I have always loved your music and was soooooo in love with you growing up. I saw one of your concerts on HBO and I thought I would die. It was great!!! You were and always will be the sexiest thing alive. Just recently I started my Teddy collection again. I purchased your Live’79 DVD. Love it. Can’t find the Valentine Concert. Heard about Teddy Pendergrass “Live in London” 1982 and can’t find it either. Could you please let me know where I can find these. Teddy, just want to let you know that listening to your music has made me fall in love with you over and over again. Would love to hear from you. It would be great if we could keep in touch. With much love.

I love the song The Power Of One, that Teddy sings, and I have been trying to find the Lyrics to it. How can I get the Lyrics to this song? Is there anyone who has them, that might want to share them with me, please? My husband and I watched the movie The Power of One, and we fell in love with the song. We had never heard that song and we have lots of Trddy’s music. This one slipped us, but I really don’t know how that happened. But, I am glad we had a chance to hear it. We did get the song from Rhapsody. Teddy your music is a blessing to many. keep up the good work, and may God bless you and your family and loved ones.

I have been a fan of Teddy long as I can remember, I hate that we don’t have music like that now, we need love songs in this day and times when we realy don’t have nothing else to look forward too.

To the Family of Teddy Pendergrass, may God be with you!!! I fell in LOVE with Teddy in 1977 In Louisiana when I was just a very young girl. I saw him in concert in Lafayette, LA, and I am still in love with him today. I am now 51 and living in MN, I listen to his music every day. How blessed we were to have Teddy share his gift with the world. There will NEVER be another performer like him. I just bought his 1979 live concert, but I am tying to find the Hbo special one from 1981 or any other DVD’S of his early years, any suggestions would be appreciated. RIP Teddy!!!! We love you!!!!!

It’s always sad to lose someone, but you know Teddy’s in a good place, he’s not in pain, or discomfort anymore. He’s still singing, he will never ever be forgotten, he had such talent, a voice, looks, everything. I wish for this kind of music again too.
I hope his family is doing well.
Teddy will always be the best there ever ever was, He was all that and a bag of chips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was so gorgeous. I remember I went on a hunt to find a man that looks like he did… I cant find him. I came close one time, but he was short. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But No, it wasnt close enough. After checking out a few youtubes this evening, I will be on the lookout. I hope I dont find him.. I wouldnt know what to do but run if I ever met someone that looks like that man. He was soooooo fine.
